Work Smarter, Not Harder with Project Quick Cash

November 30th, 2007

Believe me, I’m not a slacker and I don’t shun hard work. (I’ve done my share of sleepless nights cranking out projects!)

It just comes down to this. If you can earn more money working less, working smarter, why spend hours, days, weeks or months slaving away for much less?

I’ve just had the pleasure of going through Project Quick Cash, a project that has taken quite a few affiliate marketers by surprise (including myself). Maybe you’ve heard about the almost 2,000 visitors Jonathan Leger got to a brand new site in less than 3 weeks using these techniques. Or the $13,150 Alok Jain earned for 2 hours of work, or the $585.50 he earned in one day for 20 minutes of work.

This all came from 5 techniques that even most seasoned marketers hadn’t heard about and I almost guarantee you haven’t heard of most of them presented this way either (especially the Breaking and Entering technique on page 80, Super Targeting on page 48 and Cashing the Spike #2 on page 24). They often take less than an hour to implement, don’t require any technical or HTML skills, and all are no or low cost to implement. And better yet, they generate affiliate commissions fast, often in minutes.

Check out this video for more:

Not everyone will be able to attain 5 figure returns from some of these techniques since we all have different abilities, although they can return a significant amount of extra income if implemented.

Overall, it’s a real pleasure to see something come out that’s different that what you see everywhere else, is well written, and most importantly really works.

Why I Gave Away My Fax Machine

November 8th, 2007

For years it seemed that I couldn’t live without my trusty fax machine.

Today, I wondered why I even need it.

You see, although having the capability to fax is still quite important, needing a fax machine that takes up space on my desk isn’t.

Instead of that bulky fax machine, some time ago I replaced it with an online fax to email service. The service I use allows me to create a fax from any application that can print on my computer, so instead of printing directly to my printer, I print it to my fax application where I can add a cover sheet if I prefer, modify the document and select who I’m sending it to.

When I receive a fax, it arrives in my email as a PDF file (or EFX if I prefer) . This is quite convenient since I can get a fax anywhere I check my email, regardless of where I am. I can also modify the faxes I receive and send them off to someone else using the fax software that comes with my service. I can add text, graphics, stamps, or my signature.

My faxes are also stored online and available in my control panel along with a log of all faxes sent and received. I can also send a fax directly from the web site if I wanted to.

The biggest obstacle for most in switching to an online fax to email service is how to send a document they already have that’s not on their computer. Now with USB scanners under $100 it makes it much easier. Just scan the document using the included fax or email option in most popular scanners and it’s ready to be faxed just like any other document you print from your computer.

Email fax services aren’t created equal, most have different plans including the amount of fax pages (sent and received) that are included each month, whether or not you can send a fax from any application on your computer or if you attach a document to your email, toll free or local numbers and the cost of extra pages over your monthly quota.

To flush out the facts, I’ve put up an email fax service comparison chart. Depending on your needs, you can quickly determine what features are important to you and review the services available.

Are You Wasting Your Time (and Money)?

August 18th, 2007

One of the benefits to an online business is the free time it allows you. That is, if you set up your business to allow that.

You see, many online business owners are using services that only have 1 or 2 important aspects of their business covered, and often end up using 3, 4 or 5 vendors or applications to completely automate the processes.

Sometimes, they also end up having to handle items manually as well.

Personally, I’ve used several vendors and different software applications to ‘patch’ together all the different processes in my business. It’s often been laborious to make things work together or to maintain them.

I was intrigued when I recently learned of a service that seemed not only to have all the ‘basics’ of automating an online business (that would include unlimited autoresponders, products – both digital and physical, email broadcasting and affiliate program management) but went much further.

Here’s what I found that really hooked me.

Not only does this service have all the basics, but also the following:

  • membership site management (setup unlimited membership site areas)
  • expiration management (expire downloads)
  • online helpdesk (support your customers, includes faq’s and news)
  • auto expiring product download links
  • affiliate groups (setup unlimited affiliate programs)
  • tell a friend system (setup unlimited tell a friend buttons)
  • contact form generator
  • ad trackers

On top of this, the support is awesome, service seems reliable and pricing very reasonable. You can setup multiple affiliate groups, this comes in handy when you sell more than one product (who doesn’t right!?) and would like an affiliate program for each. Same for the membership site manager, create as many membership sites as you like, customize the look and feel, and manage it all from one panel. The membership site manager includes site integration for managing members using .htaccess with a proprietary script, member mailer, expiration manager, signup verification and more.

One of the issues I had with my previous service, 1ShoppingCart, was that much of my email wasn’t being delivered. I also learned that Yahoo’s mail servers were not accepting any email from 1ShoppingCart so if you had subscribers with yahoo email accounts, they won’t be getting anything from you. The only way around this is to have all your subscribers re-opt-in so they can be put on different mail services operated by 1ShoppingCart.

Deliverability is not an issue here, the service mail servers are not blacklisted (like many others are) and they require all subscribers to be double opt-in (sign up and click a link in an follow up email confirmation to get them on your list). Although this does lower your subscriber rate a little, it works out since those that don’t confirm probably won’t be reading your emails anyway.

I’m very impressed with the service and would highly recommend it. And I’m not the only one. When you see other well known marketers not only recommend it, but more importantly start using it, it’s time to take notice. No other online business automation system I’ve reviewed has this many features included, particularly unlimited affiliate groups, membership sites and a complete help desk all built-in. And did I mention the very reasonable cost? To me it’s a no-brainer, let me know what you think.

I’ve put together a quick video to show you more. Check out how you can automate an online business all from one control panel.
