I sometimes chuckle when I run across programs claiming you’ll earn 20k a month, or even 10k in a short period of time. Sure, these numbers (and more) are possible, but they take time and often lots of work.

Case Study: How To Get More Traffic To Your Blog

December 8th, 2007

graph2.jpgTraffic.

It’s what every web site, and especially every blog needs. But how do you get more traffic?

There are many different ways including leveraging content, using comments, focusing on keywords, tagging, rss feeds, niche blogging, email list and more, and I suggest working on a few at a time to build up a steady stream of traffic and then move on to other strategies. By working on a few at a time you can measure their effectiveness, make changes if necessary and then continue to build.

And traffic is only one factor to a successful blog. Monetization, pillar articles, design, marketing, branding, sourcing content, publicity, newsletters, rss feeds all play a part in a blog that’s successful, both your visitors and you will enjoy and only takes you a few hours a day to maintain.

Well known blogger Yaro Starak has a mentoring program where he teaches how to work part-time to make a full-time living from your blog. He’s been blogging successfully for years and shares his strategies on every aspect of blogging and regularly does case studies with his members. He’s put together a BluePrint for Bloggers that goes over his strategy for profitable blogging and is available for download at no cost.

Check out his case study on getting more traffic to a blog as well as a complete lesson from his blog mentoring program, Marketing with Conversations where you’ll learn the important aspects of communicating effectively with your visitors to keep them coming back. Grab the audio MP3 of the entire lesson as well to listen while you workout or drive. These are full case studies and lessons straight from his mentoring program.

Update: Yaro is closing BlogMastermind on Monday Dec 10th for some time to make upgrades to the membership. He’s indicated that when the membership reopens next year, pricing will increase to reflect the additional content. This won’t affect current members, new members won’t be able to join until upgrades are completed.

To your profitable blogging!

Why BOA Will Help If You’re Frustrated Trying To Make Money Online

December 4th, 2007

Have you heard about the fellow from Florida that was living with his mom in a tiny bedroom, sleeping all day and staying up to all hours of the night searching for a way to make a living on the internet? (this may sound familiar to some of you)

The weird part is that in his search, he even tried to raise dairy goats and ended up losing it all, watching g-men come to repossess the goats and still get stuck with the bills.

Now, just a little over a year later, he’s doing 7 figures online, without spending a dime on advertising.

Is it hype?

The reason why I’m writing about this is because what Mike is doing here is different and can help you, especially if you’ve been struggling to get going online. His goal is to get anyone that is interested to replace their full time income in as little as 12 weeks by going through his program.

I receive dozens and dozens of emails every month and the theme is the same. ‘I’m struggling to make some money online and confused with all the email offers I get every day!’

And you’re right, it can be confusing.

You see, there are a lot of programs in the internet marketing field that focus on specific income generating techniques or strategies, which are great if you’re already up and running online and know your way around. And they can be great addition to your online marketing arsenal.

But the BOA Method is different. Mike’s put together a complete strategy and tools to get you going, especially if you’ve been frustrated and spinning your wheels online.

Did you know just 4% of online marketers make more than $500 a month? And 44% have never earned more than $100, even in their best month? Those numbers surprised me.

Grab Mike’s now infamous PETE report to learn more and find out how you can finally get over the hump and get rolling.

And here’s what I really like about what Mike’s doing. He offers not only the tools, a complete 10 step blueprint as well as one of the most important aspects to any business (or anything in life for that matter) … your mindset. Mike teamed up with Lisa Diane, a leader in personal development and brings what no other program can offer you, all the components necessary to succeed online.

One of the other reasons that some get stuck is the technology. Let’s face it, not all of us are technically inclined to figure out how to setup up autoresponders, blogs, themes, plugins… all the details that are essential in running a business online. Again, here is where what Mike’s doing is different. He has what he calls ‘the magic button’. It basically gets your blog setup automatically, with everything you need to get started up and running, literally with a touch of a button. Now there are automatic blog installers out there, but this one is different. It not only sets up the blog, but also the theme and everything you’ll need as well. Not something I’ve found online before and a huge benefit to you.

Mike also concentrates on an essential key, getting traffic. He includes a three part strategy of tools and a special community that help each other get more traffic to their sites. All with little of no work on your part.

Take a minute to check it out and grab Mike’s free report, it could make the difference you’ve been looking for.

It’s also a great example of how to launch a product. Read it over and see how it was done…it’s a lesson in itself.

To Your Best Success!

An Effective Way To Monetize Your Blog

November 16th, 2007

When considering how to monetize your blog, one of the more effective (although sometimes controversial) ways is to get paid to blog. You get to write about things you enjoy and are topical to your audience… and get paid for it.

When researching the market, I found several web sites that have come out over the past few years that help match advertisers with bloggers. I chose to try PayPerPost.com. They have an efficient system that helps you chose the blogging opportunities that make sense for you and makes the process easy. After you find a suitable opportunity, you write the post, add the links to your entry as requested and submit it. It’s all on one page and easy to follow. You’ll notice the image below this post as disclosure that you’re writing a sponsored post, but not all advertisers require it.

Of course, to use the system, you’ll need to have (or start) a blog that has some content (preferably original content) and is getting some traffic. The opportunities available to you will be based on the number of posts you’ve made, your ’score’ at PayPerPost (called a tack rating) your Google PR and Alexa ranking. If you’re just starting out, no worries, there are some opportunities that have minimum requirements.

Many of the blogging courses I’ve reviewed on the market recommend this method. To me it’s seems natural, you write on topics that are of interest to you, let others know about it and get paid to blog!

I’ve also used the advertiser side of the PayPerPost.com system to test getting the buzz out on a blog. It was straightforward and I received exactly what I was looking for, some good posts about the blog using the keyword links I requested. The bloggers that posted were honest, fast and wrote well.

This will be an interesting test. I’ll write more on my experiences and report my results.

How is your experience? Let me know!
