There are hundreds if not thousands of ebooks on how to be successful in affiliate marketing. Most go over the normal affiliate advice everyone offers.

I was pleased (and surprised) after going through George Katsoudas’s and David Bullock’s Affiliate Rescue recently… it’s different, edgy and even controversial.

You won’t find the standard advice that everyone writes about, and that’s what I liked about the book. His strategies are edgy, pull no punches and some I’d say controversial, but bottom line is that they work. Affiliate programs, networks, traffic, redirect code, guru marketing, top 10 SEO, sneaky strategies, how to increase your affiliate commission rates, where to get content for auto responders, stealth marketing… it’s all covered in the quick but thorough 67 page guide. Many of the strategies I’ve never heard about in public.

The strategies are all free or low-cost and you can get them running in hours. In fact, it’s subtitled ‘How To Make Money on A Budget‘ and you can apply these tips to most any online marketing including your own products, resell right products, PLR products… just about anything. The ideas are also designed to get you quick cash flow, not 6 months from now.

And check out the testimonials (there are a bunch of them) – they confirmed my feelings after going through the book myself.

George writes confidently showing what works. You can use these tips to grow an affiliate business quickly, or add them to your existing online marketing efforts.

There are strategies for newbies as well as seasoned marketers alike. I picked up many tips and put them to work immediately. Well worth the small investment.

You’ve undoubtedly heard about the new blog traffic tool BlogRush over the past few weeks.

Basically it’s a network intended to help promote your blog by posting a widget on your blog with other member’s related posts. Your blog posts show up on other blogs in the network every time you display the widget. So basically, it’s how much traffic you get that will determine how often your blog posts are shown through the network.

It’s too early to tell how effective it will be, but from checking with other members the feedback has been mostly positive with a ‘wait and see’ attitude. My guess is that blogs that get decent traffic will benefit most from this network, although it looks like just about any blog with traffic will benefit. I can’t see many high traffic blogs using BlogRush, although many well known internet marketers are using it, or at least trying it out.

The jury is still out and we’ll see some tangible results soon. I’ve added it to our blog here and will report on any results as they become available.
